—Blaze

420 Blaze It the Cat is a waifu from the Sonic the Hedgehog series, and a highly requested newcomer for Super Smash Bros. 4.

Profile[]

She's from the future in Sonic 06, but that, it's not canon.

Blaze hails from a dimension parallel to Sonic's, where she is a princess, and the guardian of the Sol Emeralds, which are her world's equivalent to the Chaos Emeralds. She is 14 years old, one year younger than Sonic.

Due to her responsibilities, and it being implied that she was teased because of her pyrokinesis, Blaze shut others out, and grew up without companionship, preferring to do things alone, until Sonic taught her the importance of friendship.

Using the power of the Sol Emeralds, Blaze is able to transform into Burning Blaze.

Her theme song is Vela-Nova.

Smash Bros. Trophy Descriptions[]

Brawl[]

A princess from another dimension and guardian of the Sol Emeralds, also known as Blaze The Cat. Blaze is calm but often seems to be dealing with some inner turmoil. She's also extremely hard on herself, and as a result, she comes across as somewhat shy. She learns to open up after meeting Sonic and his crew and can use the Sol Emeralds to become Burning Blaze.

3DS[]

A princess charged with guarding the Sol Emeralds, Blaze comes from another dimension. She used to be a bit of a withdrawn loner— it wasn't until she met Sonic and co. that she really opened up. She can brandish fire at will, and she can use the Sol Emeralds to change into Burning Blaze.

Trivia[]

  • Blaze's current English voice actress is Laura Bailey, who also voices Lucina.
  • Despite being a pyrokinetic cat, Blaze has no problem with water, and is capable of swimming. However, she has acrophobia (fear of heights).
  • She can somehow keep up with Sonic in heels.
  • In Generations she makes a comment that indicates that she remembers Crisis City... even though there is no possible way that she can remember it considering SEGA confirmed that her Rush backstory is the canon one!
