Tyrantrum is the mother ing Tyrannosaurus rex Pokémon. Not only that, but he's a Dragon-type too. Too bad he was introduced in the generation that also introduced Fairies.
Relevance to Smash[]
Tyrantrum is the second most popular Kalos Pokémon in some circles, only behind Greninja. He also isn't too big, since he's "only" 8 feet tall. Some would argue for his inclusion in a Smash title, especially those who want more playable dinosaurs (Yoshi is just a wimpy little thing with a long tongue compared to this mo-fo). Though some would argue that Charizard would make Tyrantrum redundant because we already have a big, scaly bad dragon playable, just as Charizard would have made Mewtwo redundant for some people because we already have a "bad" fan-favorite from Gen I.
After Charizard's announcement, Tyrantrum was Svedeesh Cheff's most wanted newcomer on a low level, although he has protested on occasion that the game would give Tyrantrum an unfitting Pokémon Speak ashnime voice similar to Greninja (most likely a screechy voice similar to '80s cartoon villain Cobra Commander) and ruin Tyrantrum for him.
Sakurai has committed a serious crime by not even including a Tyrantrum trophy in the game.
