This pairing may have originated from a show on YouTube called "Not Exactly Royalty" based on Super Smash Bros. Brawl. In the beginning of the show, Peach explains to the viewers that she married Marth and had a son named Lucas. It may not have originated from here, but it is likely that this is where the pairing gained popularity. What is even more likely is that the pairing originated from the previous series peach mentions in the beginning, but did not become a 100% official pairing in said series until 'Not Exactly Royalty' was made.
