—Some Miis

The Creation of MiisEdit

Miis were originally created from a sketch Satoru Iwata drew while getting intoxicated with coworkers, Masahiro Sakurai and Elijah Williams. The sketch originally portrayed a hideous monster with chibi like features. The design was considered ugly, scrapped, and thrown away, later to be found in a trash can by Shigeru Miyamoto. Believing the sketch to be a meal, Miyamoto devoured the sketch and digested the design into the trash can of Cammie Dunaway. The sketch has become horribily disfigured by then, resembling the modern design of the Mii. Dunaway presented the design to Iwata, who approved of the sketch and later implemented the design as a base for Miis.
