PalutenaTemple

Just look at this cluster .

Palutena's Temple is the new Kid Icarus stage in Smash Wii U and WOAH is it huge. Almost as big as Sakurai's love for Kid Icarus and his hatred for Donkey Kong. You might even be able to fit Ridley on this stage.

While most stages are based on some scene from a Nintendo game, like the ault at Orbital Gate or the Gamer minigame in Game and Wario, Palutena's digs aren't really seen like this in Uprising. One chapter does take place in Palutena's Temple, but it's all ruined and . Also, despite this stage's intention as an 8-Player Smash stage, it's actually more fun with fewer people because otherwise it's basically one big cluster .

This stage is not to be confused with Pale Tuna's Temple, which is like this stage but under the sea. And it has fish and .

Palutena's Guidance[]

This stage also has codecs called "Palutena's Guidance". While this sounds good on paper, they're really formulaic, generally going down like this:

Pit: It's [character]!

Viridi: Snarky comment

Palutena: Guardian Orbitars for days

Well, there is one where Chrom appears and they make fun of him, noting that having two very similar characters would be pointless. There's another one where Dark Pit appears and none of this is addressed.

The worst crime, though, of Palutena's Guidance, is that Hades and Phyrron are completely absent. Why, Sakurai? WHY?!?

Tournament Legality[]

While it doesn't have any hazards besides a couple of spikes, Palutena's Temple is Too Big. Would you really want to see a one-on-one battle on this behemoth of a stage? The answer to that question is yes.
